Al Force, one of my dear friends and coaching clients, recently walked through a significant transition in his life. He went from being the District Youth Director of the PenFlorida district of the Assemblies of God to being the Lead Pastor at Oceanway Assembly of God. Al is an incredible leader. His wisdom and strong vision made this transition graceful and seamless. I am proud of Al and all that he has accomplished and I truly believe that we can all glean wisdom from the things he has to say. Al wrote today’s blog as a guest post a few months ago. I read it when he sent it and was so touched by the faith and power of these words. Be encouraged by this word, friends. God has prepared this place for you; where you are today matters.

He prepared this place for me…

Where you are right now matters. The very place you are in life right now as you read these words matters! You may not like the place you are; then again, you may love the place you are.  Regardless of how you feel about the place, it does not change the fact that God has prepared this place for you! 1 Corinthians 2:9 says, “But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’”  God has prepared in advance, before you ever arrived, the very place that you now reside. If we can frame our thoughts on the very fact that God has prepared this place for us, then we can ultimately grasp the fact that where we are has meaning and purpose. Where I am right now is preparing me for what’s next. In Genesis 1, we see that God created the heavens and the earth before he created man. He created the place first! This may help us understand that places matter to God! Hear this clearly… God has prepared where you are right now in advance. How are you going to respond to where you are right now? You won’t be able to see what God has prepared for you next, unless you can see that where you are is a setup for what’s next. Your response to where you are is shaped by two powerful, yet simple truths: what you hear and what you see. What you hear and what you see will ultimately shape how you respond. Too often we see where others are and hear what others have and we fail to see with the eyes of faith and hear where God has prepared for us.  We all respond in life to what we see and what we hear. Why not choose to see what God sees? Stop looking at where you are not and see where you are. Choose to see with the eyes of faith and respond to a God that is speaking to you. The will of God is not hidden from you; it’s revealed in you! (1 Corinthians 2:10) If you see what God sees and hear what He is saying to you, then maybe, just maybe, you can discover the perfect will that God has set aside for you! [bctt tweet="The will of God is not hidden from you; it's revealed in you!" username="altheforce"] He has a place prepared in advance just for you. If something is prepared, then basically it means it’s ready!  It’s waiting for you!  What’s next for your life has already been prepared. Stop focusing on where you are and focus on how God is using where you are to take you to what’s next.  There is a specific reason and a purpose set aside by God for this moment! So, ask yourself a few questions.
  1. What do I need to be doing right now that will ultimately prepare me for what’s next?
  2. What meetings am I having that God set up to shape my destiny?
  3. What am I learning right now that will prepare me for what’s next?
What’s next is already waiting for you! Lean in. See more from Al:  Twitter: @altheforce Instagram: @altheforce [jotform id=”51954776646168″]]]>
